Benton County Enhanced Enterprise Zone

This discretionary program offers local tax abatement on real property until April 30, 2032.

Specific criteria considered is job creation, wage rates, and capital investment.

  • Abatement rates depend on the number of people employed.  
  • All wages must meet the current existing county wage in order to qualify.
  • Minimum capital investment is $100,000

Tax Abatement-Lincoln Civic Redevelopment Corporation

Chapter 353 tax abatement is an incentive allowed by Missouri law to encourage the redevelopment of blighted areas through the abatement of real property taxes.  The City of Lincoln, Missouri formed the Lincoln MO Civic Redevelopment Corporation (LMCRC) to administer the Highway 65 incentive program.

Depending on the level of investment, applicants can qualify for:

  • Up to 100% abatement on the assessed value of the improvements on the property for the first ten years.
  • 50%-100% abatement on the assessed value of improvements on the property for the next 15 years.
  • Neither abatement applies to land.

Opportunity Zone - Warsaw

An Opportunity Zone is where new investments, under certain conditions, may be eligible for preferential tax treatment.  

  • Designed to spur economic development and job creation by providing tax credits to investors.
  • These benefits are available to investors even if they do not reside in or work in the Opportunity Zone.
